weekend of geekoutedness (checkbox) check
Hung out with a bone fide mad scientist and my old college roomie this weekend. Last minute thing, had a blast of course... I don't think we can *not have a blast. Literally right when I walked in the door (well after I was assaulted by the Aussie pup) they handed me a hard hat, gloves and held up a chainsaw with evil grins. Today, we would make a hippy cry. There was a dead pine that needed felling and fell it did. I wanted to keep going, but he didn't want to kill any good ones for some reason...
The rest of the weekend basically involved drinking some really great random ale, food, or conversations ranging from cat hair to Heisenberg and just about everything in between (including me schooling them in acoustics). Also, my job was to keep the wood stove burning, I'd do that for a living - aka play with fire - if I could.

holy christ
I don't think I've ever been as sick as this in my life. Last night I was literally every 15 minutes running to the toilet. And violently so. I remember one time when I was in 4th grade I was out of school for 2 weeks with a horrendous flu, I had to go to the hospital when I was throwing up pieces of my stomach. I think that entire 2 week period was shoved into one night... and now, although I'm not running to the toilet this morning, I'm still all squirrelly... I shall take pleasure in this day off and chill out so my stomach stops its revolt.

once more into the breach
There are quite a few interesting things happening in my life, but who in the hell gives a fuck? I sure don't want to read about it, and I'm me. I mean, I've already lived it man... if it was really that important to you, you'd hang around just to see. That would be kind of nice now that I think about it. I'd have a bunch of groupies hanging around just watching, kickin' back, seein' what I'd do next. Gotta throw them off, you know? Keep them on their toes, so like go eat an entire bowl of Jello and see what they do. I know what you're thinking... that's not so weird. Try it. It's pretty freakin' weird. I mean... what the hell is that stuff anyway? A creature from another planet that we dehydrated, added sugar and natural flavors to? Cat hair is freaking everywhere no matter what I do. So I give up for a week and then it's like... wow. So then I realize that, yeah it's a constant struggle. Speaking of constant struggles, what in the hell is with driving slow in the fast lane, then driving fast when I try to pass you? Buncha bastards.

I was planning on doing random mini posts at work, but my boss just told me I wasn't allowed to be on the internet any more... mainly because one of the other guys was abusing it. Anyway, he just went back into the office so I figured I'd do one more stick it to da mon post. peace.

another random thought for the... month...
IE7 doesn't like something in my blog, and I think it's the opacity filter. I'm going to fix it.... at work.

I switched back to IE7 from Firefox because it was pissing me off with certain things. Just minor stuff, but it just doesn't work right. It does great for most websites, but some take advantage of the short cuts that IE has built in... anyway, I like it so far, just a few things changed and I'm getting used to them. Once I am and have it all tweaked, I'd say it's superior to Firefox. That being said, I love that some free software has Microsoft running to catch up. That's how it's all just gonna get better for this guy.
