brotherly love pt. 1

It's about time to head off to the showers and then the wonderful box of a building that is my workplace, so I'm going to break this up into two parts with a cliffhanger in the middle. Of course, that will be ruined just as soon as I post the next piece because it will be on top of this, but then I'll be sorta doing what Star Wars did... you'll be able to look back in retrospect at all those things and it will take on new meaning. No, I'm serious.

My trip to San Francisco was pretty damn cool, I must say. I hadn't been back there in 11 years or so, and I didn't remember too terribly much detail. Our flight was leaving at 8 AM on Saturday morning which means getting there about 6 AM which means waking up at 4:30 AM. I wasn't so happy about that, but I can do it without too much problem... my sister's, however, have big problems with that. It was funny watching my little ones walk about like zombies for a little while. Little did they know we were going to be walking around for about 18 hours and going to sleep at 11 PM... muahahahah

The flight was easy enough, get up and get down: one hour booyah. I can't wait until orbital transportation comes around so it's like an hour to anywhere... As we land we begin our journey toward San Francisco and into the low-hanging cold clouds that exemplify the Bay Area. That first day was really cold (especially having come from 100+ the day before), but my family all loves that weather mostly because my mom does so it trickles down of course. We got our rental and booked it into one of my favorite cities. Going over the Bay Bridge was very cool, the clouds were cutting off the tops of the tallest skyscrapers - so they were literally scraping sky, quite a sight to behold.

I should tell you the primary reason for our trip. It was so my mom could get a tattoo, my step-dad could get his ear pierced and one of my little sisters could get her lip pierced. The little one just recently turned 16, it took a lot of convincing to get my step-dad comfortable with the whole situation, but of course he caved. (I would have never been able to do stuff like that of course... not that I would want my lip pierced, but still) So this was our mission. Tattoos and piercings. Of course we had to come to San Fran to do it right.
